Interested in performing at Sammypalooza?

We are looking for local music acts to perform outside Johnson Coliseum during Sammypalooza. Thousands of SHSU students and the local community are expected to be present, and your band/musical act could help make the festival memorable. We encourage fans of local artists to pass along this page and to let them know you want them to play at Sammypalooza.


Please read all information below. We reserve the right to make revisions, in which case artists will be notified of any changes.


Show Information:
- There will be two outside stages alternating 30-minute sets
- This is a non-paid event
- Artists will be given a table to set-up if they wish to bring merchandise to sell. Artists retain 100% of the merchandise sales - however, artists much as bring their own change as it will not be provided.
- Artists may bring a tent no larger than 10x10 to supplement their table if they wish, in addition to any merchandise set-up that can fit under such dimensions.
- Artists must have an individual(s) to run their merchandise area if desired - SHSU will not provide an employee.
- We ask that artists be open to providing autographs for fans for a minimum of 30 minutes. Artists may choose if they wish to participate with fans in regards to photos.
- Artists must provide own instrumental backline
- All genres welcome for submission
- Load-in / Load-out times and vehicle parking for artists TBA
- Performing artists will be a part of Sammypalooza advertising when applicable
- Audio equipment / stage information details will be given to artists when finalized
- If the artist(s) would like, general admission tickets will be provided for the event inside Johnson Coliseum for each performing member of the band +1. If selected to perform and tickets are desired, please let us know in advance.

Items to Submit:
- Why your band wants to play Sammypalooza
- Basic information - location, genre(s), short biography, record label, any other relevant information
- Web links - such as an official website, MySpace, Facebook, Last.fm, PureVolume, YouTube channel
- Music samples - .mp3 preferred - if you wish to mail a CD recording, please let us know so we may provide a mailing address
     > We reserve to right to use artist music for promotional purposes (I.E., MySpace)
- If possible, live music recordings - .mp3, YouTube video, etc.

Submission Deadline:
- Wednesday, July 28th at 5pm
- We will not be using services such as SonicBid because we want to save you money.
